Background

‍Math e-learning platforms have immense potential, yet many take a one-size-fits-all approach, leaving significant gaps in personalized learning. This results in:

Untapped potential:

High-achieving students remain at their level without opportunities for greater challenges.

High costs and inefficiencies:

Average students must invest significant time and money to improve.
Struggling students face an even steeper path, requiring even more resources to reach an average level—and even more to excel.

Recognizing these challenges, I led the product design and UX/UI strategy for Easy Pisy, a math-focused e-learning platform designed to provide a more tailored and effective learning experience.

Key Achievements

Transforming an idea into a product: I worked closely with the founders to shape the product vision and strategy, turning an initial concept into a structured, evolving product. While Easy Pisy is still in development, the progress we’ve made as a team and startup has been truly inspiring.
Taking on multiple roles: As part of an early-stage startup, I went beyond UX/UI, dedicating time outside of work—including weekends—to conduct research, prototype, test, and refine the product, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.

Understanding the Problem

Both high school students preparing for the Abitur and university students looking to reinforce their studies face common difficulties when searching for a comprehensive learning platform. While online resources exist, many lack the necessary structure, personalization, and user experience to meet their specific needs. This leads to frustration, uncertainty, and a sense of inefficiency in the study process.

Incomplete and Non-Personalized Study Materials: Available resources are often generic and not tailored to the specific Abitur syllabus or university curricula, forcing students to search for and filter information on their own.
Lack of Structure and Clear Learning Paths: Without a well-defined learning path, students struggle to determine where to start or how to progress in an organized manner, leading to increased anxiety and demotivation.
Scarcity of Mock Exams and Realistic Practice Exercises: There is a limited supply of tests, mock exams, and exercises that accurately reflect the format and difficulty of actual exams, leaving students without the necessary practice to perform well in critical assessments.
Unintuitive Interfaces and Poor User Experience: Existing platforms often feature complex designs and confusing navigation, causing students to waste valuable time and experience frustration—especially when juggling tight academic schedules.
Lack of Personalized Support and Effective Feedback: Both high school and university students have limited access to tutoring and detailed feedback, preventing them from identifying and overcoming their weak areas efficiently.

A platform that effectively solves these challenges would not only improve students' academic performance but also provide a more seamless and motivating learning experience. By integrating subject-specific content, clear learning paths, and personalized support, Easy Pisy has the potential to transform how students prepare for exams and tackle academic challenges.

Our goal is to develop a user-friendly and structured e-learning platform that enables high school and university students to effectively prepare for their exams. Easy Pisy will provide:
